Technology Calculators Hub
The numbers behind your devices and your connection — calculated instantly.
Your digital life, in numbers
How long will that 4K movie take to download? Will this video file fit on your drive? Is your internet plan actually fast enough for what you do? Technology runs on numbers most of us never calculate — until something goes wrong: a stalled download, a full SSD, a battery that dies halfway through the day.
This hub gathers the Calculate All tech calculators in one place. Each one answers a concrete question, shows its formula, and runs entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no data leaving your device.
The questions these tools answer
- Download Time: "I have a 50 Mbps connection — how long for a 25 GB game?" (Spoiler: bits vs. bytes trips up almost everyone. The calculator handles the conversion.)
- Bandwidth: "How much speed do I actually need for 4K streaming, video calls, and gaming at the same time?"
- File Size: "How big will this video/photo/audio file be at these settings?" — essential before uploads, exports, and backups.
- Battery Life: "My laptop draws 45W and the battery holds 70Wh — how long will it last?"
- Screen Size & Aspect Ratio: "What are the real dimensions of a 27-inch 16:9 monitor?" and resolution math for creators.

Bits vs. bytes: the one thing to remember
Ninety percent of download-time confusion comes from one fact: internet speeds are sold in bits per second (Mbps), but file sizes are measured in bytes (MB, GB). There are 8 bits in a byte, so a "100 Mbps" connection downloads at roughly 12.5 megabytes per second — before overhead. Every calculator on this page makes the conversion explicit, so the numbers always make sense.
